Heat is another cause of frizz, washing your hair with too hot water or using heat tools can further strip your hair of moisture increasing your hair’s potential to frizz. Turn down the temperature in your shower, use nourishing hair products and heat protectors when it comes to styling.
Brushing wet hair can stretch the strands, disrupt the cuticles and lead to frizz, so if you’re planning to air-dry your hair simply use your fingers to rake through your hair. Once your strands are dry you can use a brush or comb to gentle tackle any unwanted tangles. Friction can lead to frizz, too. Think vigorous towel-drying or sleeping. Blot your hair with a microfibre towel, never rub and when it comes to sleeping try switching your pillowcase to a silk one - the slippery fabric won’t cause your strands to tangle or break while you sleep.
